Holiday theft – True or fictitious?
Statistics show that there are fewer thefts on holidays than on weekdays. But that doesn’t mean that all thieves are on holiday – some of them do work full shifts.
Let’s have a look at holidays ranked by the number of car thefts in 2020:
New Year’s Day (2,320)
Labor Day (2,222)
Presidents’ Day (2,204)
New Year’s Eve (2,201)
Valentine’s Day (2,174)
Memorial Day (2,162)
Christmas Eve (2,011)
Independence Day (1,995)
Christmas Day (1,580)
The numbers are impressive, aren’t they?
